Wednesday, July 1, 2015 Whale Watch 2 pm

2 pm Trip - Leah

Due to the rain and weather on the morning trip I only took photos during the afternoon trip.

We had a choppy day out on the water but had some great looks at Nile and Pitcher, our humpback whales who had been spending plenty of time together while offshore.
No weather can stop these whales from showing their natural behaviors that are so pleasing to see and awesome to experience.  Wild animals are just that, wild, we can't have any expectations for what we will see while we are out there so we just enjoy the company of the whales.
Nile, a humpback whale, who is my favorite whale to see is clearly showing you above exactly why she is called Nile.  The Nile River runs right through the left side of her fluke.
This fluke above is a humpback named Pitcher who has been frequently seen with Nile while in the area recently.  This association will probably not last to long, but is interesting to observe while we have the opportunity.
